About

Rooted in Purpose. Driven by Passion.

Our Story:
Ability Pals – Home Modifications & Solutions was founded to bridge a vital gap in the housing and care ecosystem for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

“As a current owner of multiple residential group homes and a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, I’ve seen firsthand how inaccessible environments can limit independence and diminish dignity.” – Founder – W. Azalea McKinney

Our work goes beyond construction—it’s about restoring freedom, preventing injury, and honoring the desire to age in place with confidence. We understand the challenges that come with mobility limitations and chronic conditions, and we’re committed to providing solutions that are both functional and beautiful.

Who We Serve:
We support older adults, individuals with disabilities, veterans, caregivers, and adult children seeking safe, affordable, and compassionate home accessibility options.

Why Ability Pals Exists:
We don’t believe anyone should have to leave their home because of stairs they can’t climb, a bathroom they can’t use, or a space that no longer works for their needs. That’s why we’ve combined construction expertise, personal care experience, and aging-in-place design to create lasting change—one home at a time.

Our Mission:
To enhance the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities by transforming homes into safe, accessible, and empowering spaces that support aging in place.
